Home Grown
Knox Immerse Art Exhibition
Lorraine Meinke was one of 44 selected artists chosen to take part in the 2019 Immerse exhibition program kindly organised by the Knox City Council.
The exhibition program took place across the Knox municipality from 1-29 September 2019.
The Home Grown art exhibition consisted of three elements:
- Firstly, a small series of original graphite pencil drawings of exotic plants species;
- Secondly, a series of limited edition, linocut prints, based on native plant species; and
- Lastly, a handmade, hardcover, concertina format, unique state, artists’ book, Native Garden, that contains all of the linocut prints featured in second element.
The graphite pencil drawings and the limited edition lino prints were all framed and exhibited at the Coonara Community House, 22 Willow Road, Upper Ferntree Gully.
The artists’ book was shown at the Ferntree Gully Library, 1010 Burwood Highway, Ferntree Gully.
